Mozaik - Mosaic

Yine ne kadar çok ihmal etmişim blogumu.... Pek çok şey ürettim bu süreçte... Hepsini paylaşacağım elbette ama öncelikle yaz başı bitirdiğim mozaiklerimi paylaşmak istiyorum. Bütün kurs boyu iki tane mozaik yapabildim,üçüncü proje eşimin ameliyatına denk geldiği için yapmadım.

Once again I've neglected my blog for long.... I've made many things in this period... I will share them all but initially I want to share the mosaics that I'de finished in the beginning of summer... I could only make two pieces throughout the course, I couldn't go on with the third project because of my husbands operation.


Öncelikle saatim... Doğal taşlarla yapıldı (Mermer, granit...)

First my clock... Made with natural stone (ie;marble, granite...)

Sonra torso... Renkli camla yapıldı...

Then the torso... Made from colored glass...

Üçüncü projeyi yapamamış olmaktan dolayı pek üzgün değilim, yapmış olsaydım asamayacaktım duvara... duvarlarda yer yok, saatimi bile asacak yer bulamadım... Ben yapmadım ama bir arkadaşımınkini paylaşmak istiyorum... Bu çalışmada hem mozaik hemde kağıt rölyef kullandı. Fotoğrafta pek belli olmuyor ama araba kağıt rölyef...  O araba için günlerce Oya ile metal araba aradık, arabayı verevine kestirdi Oya ama pek kötü oldu... En sonunda kağıt rölyef bir araba ile çözdü olayı.

I'm not unhappy for not making the third projecet as if I had made it I wouldn't be able to hang it on the wall... Walls are all full, I couldn't even find a place to hang my clock... Although I didn't do it I will share one of my friends project. In this work she used paper tole besides mosaic. Although it is not perceivable from the photo, the car is made using paper tole... For days we searched for an appropriate metal car, found one, Oya had it cut diagonally but it looked terrible... In the end she solved her problem with a paper tole car.

Günlerden mozaik...

Eylül ayında mozaik kursuna yazılmıştım. Haftada bir tüm günümde kursta oluyorum. İlk çalışmamız Torso çalışması idi ve cam ile yaptık. Henüz tam olarak bitmedi, daha süslemelerini yapacakmışız. Herkes bitince evinin en güzel eşyası olacak dese dahi ben pek ikna değilim bu konuda. İkinci çalışmamız ise doğal taşlarla (mermer, granit) yaptığımız bir saat. Bu taşları 1cm kare bloklar halinde kesilmiş olarak alıyoruz ve 1/2, 1/4 ve 1/8'e kesiyoruz kerpeten ile. Öylesine zorlanıyorum ki bu kesme işlemi sırasında ve çok zaman alıyor bu işlem. Bitsin artık bu çile dedim ve eve getirdim taşlarımı kırayım diye. Bugün kırma işlemini gerçekleştirdim ve şu an sağ elim bardak kaldırırken bile titrek. Taşlar türlü renklerde fakat öylesine zor ki renkleri ayrıştırmak, hepsi birbirine benziyor kuruyken ancak ıslanınca anlaşılıyor hangisinin hangi renk olduğu. Gerçi yapılmış halinin fotoğrafını çekince bayağı belli oluyormuş, zaten sonunda vernikleyecekmişiz renkler belli olsun diye.

I started a mosaics course in September. One day a week I'm at the course for the whole day. Our first project was a torso and we worked with glass on it. It's not completely finished yet, we're told that we will decorate it later. Although everyone says that it will be my favorite piece in the house when finished, I'm not convinced on that idea at all. Our second project is a clock that we work with natural stones ( marble, granite). We buy the stones as 1cm cubes and cut it to 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 with pliers. I find it very hard to cut them and it takes a lot of time. As I wanted to get over the misery of this cutting process I brought them home. Today I did some cutting and now my right hand trembles even when try to lift up a glass. The stones are in various colors but it's very difficult to differentiate the colors when they're dry. Once wet then you can see which color is what. Saying so I realized that it is quite differentiable in the picture. Anyway we are supposed to varnish them in the end in order to have some color.

Saygıdeğer, bitince çok beğeneceğim varsayılan torsom (en soldaki) ... Bakıyorum, bakıyorum hala ikna olamıyorum...
