Fatoş'tan aldım Seda'ya verdim- Took from Fatoş and handed it to Seda

Sevgili Fatoş'un(http://hayalmekan-turkuazft.blogspot.com) bloguna girdim bu gece. Amaç, ne var ne yok diye bir bakmak. En son kaydı bir "mim". Keyifle okurken aaa bir baktım sonunda beni mimlemiş... Tamamen tesadüf yani anlayacağınız... Hoş Fatoşcuğum beni dürterdi eğer görmeseydim. En son Fatoş'un çekilişinde ki şahane bebeği  ben kazanmışım, haberim yok, sağ olsun Facebook tan beni bulup haber verdi. Şu sıralar o kadar az ilgileniyorum ki blogumla... Bir sonraki post'umun Fatoş'un çekilişinden kazandığım bebek olmasına karar vermiştim ama bebek henüz elime geçmedi. Sanırım posta dağıtıcıları grevdeymiş, 1 haftaya ancak geçer elinize dedi PTT deki çalışan arkadaş. Neye niyet, neye kısmet... ama sonuçta niyette, kısmette Fatoş'ta buluştu...


Tonight I entered my dear friend Fatoş's blog http://hayalmekan-turkuazft.blogspot.com). My aim was to have a look around. Her last post was about a "mim". I read it with pleasure and in the end I realised she had given me the "mim". As you can understand it's a coincidence... But still I know Fatoş would have poked me if I hadn't seen it. Lately I found out that I won the prize in her blogs draw and I had no idea of this. She found me on Facebook to inform me of that. These days I'm not putting much effort on my blog... I had decided that my next post would be about the Tilda doll that I had won from her draw but I haven't recieved the doll yet. I've learned that the distrubuters of the post office are on strike and an employer of the post office said that it will take at least a week for me to recieve it. I intended for something and was destined for another (turkish saying) but it turned out that the intention and destination met at Fatoş.

1. Kedi olsaydınız hangi cins kedi olmak isterdiniz ve tercihiniz neden o cins olurdu ?
Çok kedilerden anlamam ama sokak kedisi, ben en çok onları seviyorum...

Nefesli bir çalgı olurdum, mesela saksafon, sesi benim içimi titretiyor...

O kadar çok var ki, bilemedim şimdi...

Burcumdanmıdır (ikizler) bilmem ama bu da ruh halime göre değişir, bazen cıngıl-cıngıl bir İstanbul yada Amsterdam yada Londra yada Paris, bazen ise Ege de sessiz sakin bir sahil kenarı. Ama mutlaka bir suyun kenarında...
5.en sevdiğiniz sanat dalı hangisi?
böyle bir ayrımım yada algım yok, her şeyi çok sevebilirim yada sevmeyebilirim, ne olduğuna bağlı...

I don't have much knowledge of cats but it can be a stray cat, I like them most...

I would be one of the wind instruments, like a saxaphone, İts sound vibrates inside of me...

There's so many of them, I couldn't decide now...
4.Will you share the city that most reflects your soul ?
Maybe it's because of my astrology sign (gemini) it depends on my mood, sometimes a very active İstanbul or Amsterdam or London or Paris but sometimes a quiet coastal town in the Aegean region. But always by some water...
5.What's your favourite art?
I don't have any distinction or perception, I can love all of them or not, it depends on what it is...

Kalpli bardak altlığı - Coasters with hearts

Dün annemle babamı yolcu etmek için havaalanına götürdük eşimle beraber. Havaalanı dönüşünde gelen bir telefonla eşim Kızılay da yapması gereken bir işi olduğunu hatırladı, ben de günlerdir Kızılay'a gidip bir takım malzemeler almak istiyordum. Hemen bir plan yaptık ve gittik, herkes işini bitirecek ve yıllardır gitmediğimiz Net piknik te buluşup bir şeyler yiyecektik. Çok keyifli geldi orada olmak, hatta gece oradan ayrıldığımızda Kızılay'daki canlılık, renklilik de çok güzeldi. Sokağın ortasında halay çeken kalabalık bir grup genci keyifle izledik. Eskiden, şehirde otururken giderdik Kızılaya, net-pikniği pek severdik ama yaşamımızı şehir dışına taşıdığımızdan beri yapmamıştık bunu. Güzel geldi...

Yesterday we took my mum and dad to the airport with my husband. On the way back the ringing phone reminded my husband that he had something to be done in Kızılay and I had been wanting to go there for days to buy some stuff. We made an immediate plan to go there, everybody would finish his or her task and we would meet in Net piknik to eat something. I was happy to be there and  after we left the place the liveliness and the colorfullness of Kızılay was beautifull also. We watched a group of young people with pleasure doing an Anatolian folk dance in the middle of the street.  In the past when we were living in the city we loved going to Net piknik but we didn't go there after we moved outside the city.

Ve bugün erkek kardeşim arayarak çocukların sırt çantalarını çok beğendiklerini ve dışarı çıkarken hemen sırtlarına taktıklarını söyledi ve görenler de çok beğenmiş çantaları...

And today my brother called to say that the kids loved the back packs that I'de made for them. They immediately put them on while going out and plus many people who saw them complimented the bags...

Bilgisayar çantası - Laptop bag

Evlere olan takıntım hala devam ediyor. Bu sefer de bir laptop çantası olarak ortaya çıktı. Bu çantayı yaparken yine çok sevdiğim bu gri keçeyi kullandım. Bu kez evimin yanında bir ağaçta olsun istedim... Aynen bir çocuk resmine benzedi bence.  Bu arada geçmişten bu güne ev takıntım nelere dönüşmüş bakmak isterseniz linklerini aşağıda yazdım.

My obsession on houses is still continiuing. This time a laptop bag emerged from it. In making this bag I used my very much loved grey felt. This time I wanted to put a tree beside my house. Baykuş çocuk çantası- Owl kids backpack

Annem'le babam önümüzdeki günlerde İngiltere'ye kardeşimin yanına gidiyorlar. Kardeşimin iki tane çocuğu var, onlara bir şey yollamak istiyorum ama ne?, diye düşünürken böylesi geldi aklıma. Buradan ne alsam göndersem standart, orada ulaşabilecekleri bir şey olacaktı. Bu çantaların içine de ıvır-zıvır doldururum, en azından bir süre heyecan olur onlara diye düşündüm. Tabii bu çantaları kullanabilirler mi (yaş, cinsiyet, moda, vs. bazında) çok kestiremiyorum doğrusu... Kullanamazlarsa da içine pamuk koyar yastığa dönüştürürler diye düşünüyorum...

My mum and dad will be having a visit to my brother in the UK. My brother has two kids, just as I was thinking that I want to send them something, but what? this idea popped up in my mind. I thought that whatever I buy and send to them from here, will be something standart, something they can achieve at all times. I am going to fill these bags with little bits and pieces, at least they will be excited and happy about it for a while. Of course I can't predict if they will use these bags (age, sex, fashion, etc. wise) but if they don't, they can fill them up and use them as cushions in their rooms...

Baykuşlu telefon kılıfı - Phone case with owl

Televizyon seyrederken gözüm takıldı mı iplere... Ne yapacağımı bile bilmiyorum... Başlarsam çıkar bir şey, biliyorum... dedim ve yaptım iki baykuş... Sonra bu baykuşları ne yapsam acaba? diye düşündüm... Gün geldi, baykuşlar yerlerini buldu...

I was watching TV and my eyes got stuck on the yarn nearby... I don't know what I want to do with it... If I get going something will come out, I know... Afterwards I was thinking what I will do with the owls... One day the owls found their places...

Mine çalışmaları - Enamaling work

Bu mineler de sevgili arkadaşım Gülnur'un çalışmaları. Nasıl yapıyorsa ben bir tane parça ortaya çıkartmayı başarmışken bir bakıyorum Gülnur yapmış iki tane... Hemde pek güzeller...  Artık kıskanmaya başlıyorum ama...

These enamels are the work of my dear friend Gülnur. I don't know how she does it but just as I finish a piece I always find that she has finished at least two... And they are very pretty...  I'm starting to get jealous...

Geçen hafta kurs hocamızın yaş günüymüş. Kursa gittiğimizde öğrendik. Reyhan hocamız bunu yapmayı bize bırakmayarak hep beraber yiyelim diye bir pasta ısmarlamış bile... 

Last week was our course teachers birthday. We learned it when we went to the course. Our teacher Reyhan didn't leave this for to us to do and ordered her birthday cake so that we can all eat together...

Bir yaş günü - A birthday

Blogumu 1 sene önce ilk açmaya niyetlendiğimde neden açtığımı, beni izleyecek kişileri nasıl bulacağımı, dipsiz bir kuyu olan blog dünyasında benim izlemekten keyif alacağım blogları nasıl bulabileceğimi gerçekten hiç bilmiyordum. Şimdilerde arkadaşlarımı blog açmaları konusunda yüreklendiriyorum hatta bazen onlara açarken yardım ediyorum ama ben blog açarken blogu olan ve bana fikir verebilecek, Ne, Nasıl, Neden, sorularıma bir cevap verebilecek kimse yoktu yaşantımda... Bu sorular kafamda çok debelendim blogumu hayata geçirmeye çalışırken. İçimde hep bir ses vardı bana;

"blog açacaksın da, NE yazacaksın?",

"bu blogu NASIL kurglayacaksın?",

"NEDEN blog açıyorsun, bu kadar emeğe değer mi?", diyen sesler vardı. 

Ama ne olduysa oldu ve ben bu seslere karşı geldim ve günlerce uğraştıktan sonra blogumu hayata geçirdim. ( aslında 5 dakikalık bir işmiş). 

Ne olacak heyecanı ve bir sürü soru işareti içinde beklerken yorumlarıyla beni yüreklendiren, bu sorularıma cevap olan bir kaç blog arkadaşım oldu kısa sürede. İşte bu yeni arkadaşlarımdan biri de sevgili Mehtap oldu. Onun blogunu keyifle izledim, onun benim blogumdaki yorumlarını keyifle okudum. O zamanlar bilmiyordum, bugün öğrendim, meğer benzer zamanlarda açmışız bloglarımızı. Bugün onun blogunun 1. yaş günüymüş ve bir çekiliş düzenlemiş. Bence bakın... mehtapkaya.blogspot.com 'a nice mutlu yıllar...

After my first intention in opening my blog a year ago I didn't have a clue about why I was opening it, how I would find followers and how I could find blogs in this big blog world to follow. Nowadays I encourage my friends to open their blogs and sometimes I even help them in their setups but at that time while I was trying to create my blog I didn't have anybody in my life that had a blog, that can give me an idea, that can answer my What, How, Why related questions... With these questions in mind I struggled a lot trying to give a life to my blog. My inner voice was always askıing;

"you are opening a blog, WHAT are you going to write?"

" HOW are you going to setup this blog?"

"WHY are you opening a blog, is it worth all this effort?"

But whatever happened and I resisted all these voices and after days of work I managed to give life to a blog. (actually I now know it's a 5 minute work)

While I was waiting with the what is going to happen now enthusiasm, in short time I had a couple of new blog friends that encouraged me with their comments and gave me the answers to the questions I had.  Dear Mehtap was one of my new friends. I followed her blog in pleasure, I read her comments on my blog with pleasure. At that time I didn't know that we'de opened our blogs at similar dates, this I learned today. Today is her blogs 1st birthday and she has setup a draw for this occasion... Happy birthday to mehtapkaya.blogspot.com

Ev işlemeli çanta - House appliqued bag...

Günlerdir Etsy'de dükkan açmaya çalışıyorum. Dün gece bir sürü bilgiyi Etsy'ye girmişken internetimiz kesildi, bilgiler kaybolmasın diye internetin geri gelmesini bekledim... neredeyse sabah olmak üzereydi geldiğinde... Tabii o saatten sonra yatınca da uykum kaçtı, döndüm durdum yatakta. Sabah ise bu kadar uykusuzluğa rağmen gayet uygun bir saatte uyanmayı başardım, Etsy ayarlarımı yapmaya devam etme heyecanı içinde. Günün diğer kısmı ise güzel fotoğraf çekme denemeleri içinde geçti... Ne zormuş iyi fotoğraf çekmek. Defalarca aynı ürünümün fotoğrafını çektim ama sonuçtan pek te memnun kalamadım, sadece razı geldim. Problem bende mi, makinamda mı, onu bile bilmiyorum...
Bu da yeni bir çanta çalışmam... Fermuarla kapanıyor, önünde büyük bir cep var ki bu da mıknatıs ile kapalı duruyor ve fermuarlı küçük bir çanta ek,i ki bunu çantaya da bağlayabilirsiniz yada ayrı bir ürün olarak kullanılabilir. Bu küçük çantayı telefon, anahtar vs. gibi önemli ve her an elinizin altında durmasını istediğiniz şeylere ipi çekerek kolay ulaşılır olmasını planlayarak yaptım. Hemde çantaya bağlı duracağı için kaybetme riskini de ortadan kaldırıyor...

I've been trying to open my shop in Etsy for days. Last night just as I had entered a lot of my information our internet connection broke so I had to wait for it to come back again as I didn't want to lose my already loaded data... It was almost morning when it came back... Of course after going to bed that late I couldn't sleep and I tossed and turned in bed. Although I was lacking sleep in the morning I was able to wake up in an appropriate time because of my motivation to continiue on my Etsy settings. The rest of my day I tried to take nice photos... It's difficult... I took many shots of the same item but wasn't pleased with the outcome but in the end I settled for what I had. I don't even know if the problem is me or the photography machine...
This below is my new bag... It has a zippered closure, a big front pocket with a magnetic closure and a zippered little bag insert that you can either tie to the main bag or use as a seperate item... I made this little bag so that you can have easy access to your important stuff ( ie: keys, phone, etc. ) by pulling the cord. And as it is connected to the bag itself it takes away the risk of loosing it.

Karlı tepsi - Tray with snow

Bu tepsiyi yıllar önce yapmıştım. Mutfağımda da bir rafın üzerinde dekorasyon niteliğinde duruyor ve nedense  pek kullanmıyorum. Sanırım öteki hafif tepsileri kullanmak daha pratik geliyor. Şimdi hava buzzz gibi olupta kar yağınca paylaşasım geldi...

I'de made this tray years ago. It stands in my kitchen on a shelf as a decorative item and somehow I don't use it much. I think it's because I find it easier to use the other light weight trays. Now as the weather is ice cold and snowing I wanted to share it...
