Pembe ve Romatik- Pink and Romantic

This summer my nephew asked me to sew something for his fiancee(now his wife). A camera case... All summer long whenever I went down to my workshop I remembered this wish but I couldn't decide what it will look like... Recently I was trying to decide what to make and suddenly I wanted to make this case. My aim was to make a Pink and Romatic case... and the result is this. Please don't ask "You said Pink and Romantic, so what's this?", I have no answer to this... Well, to defend my self; one of the houses is pink(ish), the tree is in the shape of a heart=romantic... While sewing it, I probably was thinking this...  I don't have any deformation in my color and romaticism perception... I don't think I have... No way.... or is this posiible?... (looking at the end result) I do have... Well I'm going to sew a new one... it was far too big anyway...

You know, in the summer I made myself a name card that could be used as a bookmark... I couldn't use them at all... The ones that I dipped into my handbag were wasted in the chaos of the bag and whenever I needed one I didn't have any... So I sew myself a name card case and now they are safe in my hand bag.

I started an Emay course with the recomendation of a very close friend of mine. In order to be able to do things in this course you need copper plates besides the Emay powder. Yesterday for the intention of buying copper we were in Hamamönü, Saman pazarı, At Pazarı... all day... We had a look at nearly all the shops, sat in most of the cafe's... In the end when it started to get dark we remembered that our intention was to buy copper... As we had spent all our money we had to fish inside our hand bags to be able to find the copper money... Any way we were able to complete our mission, we could have easily returned home without any copper... I will share my Emay work soon... I have no idea how much fun I will percieve of the Emay work yet but the preperation stage (going out to buy copper) was brilliant.
I'de sewn this bag as an Ultra book bag. The hearts on the front are pockets actually...

Şemsiyeli kız - Girl with umbrella

This is another tablet case dressed with a women holding an umbrella. I found it to be very suitable with the seasonal conditions as the rains have started. When I was in Paris I didn't look at any shops as I was not in the intention of buying anything. But there was a shop that actually sucked me inside. Name is Desigual and everything inside has a hippy or bohemian style. All the products are flowery, embroidered and even most of the skirt parts were crooked... I desired to buy everything they had in the shop, I even  couldn't let go of a pair of embroidered shoes. But as the prices were high and my consciousness came back again in time I left the shop empty handed. Afterwards whenever I saw the shop I acted as if it wasn't there just in the fear of losing my consciousness back again. In that shop they had flowery and embroided raincoats and coats. Now lookiing in the photos below just reminded me of those gorgeous coats.

While I was making the closure part I found my glass beads in the house and used one of them for it. The other colored beads are products of my polimer clay work in the past. The picture of these beads look a little bit blurry, I guess because I took their picture from a very short distance.

Meleklerle yaşamak - Living with angels

Size???

I'de already told you about my love for angels in one of my earlier posts. This is the project that made me stay at home yesterday. While I was sewing a bag this came into my mind and I buckled down to work and finished these. I don't like pictures taken in the night time,  that was the reason I didn't share them yesterday... I waited for the daytime , the time when it's full of light and sunny in order to picture them. Taking a photo is such a struggle... I couldn't decide where I should locate them for the picture so I'm sharing the photos that I took in every spot that I could think of. I think that they look cute... And you???

Keçe kılıf, kalpli - Felt case, with heart

Today I had things to do outside but I didn't want to leave home so I delayed them all. Yesterday night I surfed the internet till late, I visited blogs I hadn't been able to have a look at since long... I realized that I'de missed them... Then I felt a desire to enter a competition that came up my way...  I came across the "Bumerang" competion... Actually I'de seen this one in "Turuncu oda"'s blog, even voted for her but hadn't cared about entering my self. Yesterday late at night when I went to "yazarkafe" to submit a post it caught my eye so I filled in the form and sent it. Actually I recieved an aproval for my application from another category instead of the one that I'de applied for.  "The most hard working blog". If we skip this summer I could be called hard working, don't you think so? I don't know how the system works  but despite my understanding of the explanation I see that every body can vote.... If you would like to vote you can click on the green box that is on the left side above, it will direct you to the voting page...

Let's get to what I will share with you guys today... A felt Ipad case or bag... Grey - red - white... I was so badly wanting to make something in these colors, this came up... What do you think of it?

Çift taraflı çanta nasıl dikilir - How to sew a reversable bag.

Tatil bitti, oğlum geldi ve gitti. Aslında 1 hafta kısa bir süreymiş meğer... Yetmedi bana...

Holiday is over,my son came and left. Apperently  one week turned out to be a very short period...  It wasn't enough for me... I couldn't have him to myself a lot... He had missed his friends so they always had something going on. Of course it wasn't only his friends; Grand parents, aunty...  I'de cooked a lot of food before he came but today I had to bin most of it. We sent him off yesterday evening. It was very hard to be able to get a ticket, if we couldn't have found one we would take him with our car, but we managed to get a place in one of the coach companies additional run. It was the 17:31 coach. AŞTİ was very crowded. Everybody was trying to move forward with a suitcase to find their coach. Most of the buses couldn't even get near any platform. Our 17:31 run could only depart at 18:15. I don't know if it's like this in all the religious holidays, maybe there were people who had succeded to come for the Ankara , 29 october march that was accompanied by tear gas, who knows...
I'de sewn this bag in the summer and I found it to be so comfortable that I used it all summer. While I was sewing it, I'de taken a photo of every stage thinking that I will prepare a tutorial some day... The day is today...

Today was an another intense day. Although I'de gone to sleep late last night I woke up at around 6 in the morning, together with my husband... My son Sarp would be here any moment... The familiy of one of his close friends from the same uni. would take them from the bus stop and bring Sarp home, So I prepared breakfast so that we could be all together and have a good chat. But of course as it was a bus from İstanbul it could arive at around 9 o'clock. What ever... My son is here, it was worth me waking up early... And then my day was like... A nice and long breakfast... going to see my mum ( she had just returned back from their summer house yesterday night)... Sending my husband off to Italy (weeks ago he had promised to come this week forgetting that it was a holiday period, although I objected to this a lot he couldn't cancel it)... Sarp's going and comming back to the house in the name of visiting his friends, his friend's comming ang going in order to visit him... and the day ended...

I don't like autumn much... I like the nature in this season but  still I percieve autumn to be a bit pessimistic and sad.... And this is the autumn ipad case that I'de finished yesterday...  Autumn joy...

Nerden başlasam, nasıl anlatsam... - Where should I start, how should I explain

It's been 2 months since my last post... An intense summer where we didn't even have a chance to go on a holiday except our boat trip has gone by... My son is now in his school in İstanbul. At first I had a hard time in adapting to him going but now I am getting used to it. He is happy, he liked his new school, his dorm, his department. I went to see it myself and loved it. I even wished to be smaller and start that school, stay in that dorm... It's a student heaven very civilized...

I stayed in İstanbul for about 15 days, both to see my son and to be together with my cousin and friend. I even went to Paris for 3 days during my 15 day stay. Actually this Paris plan was a six month old plan. We'de used our credit card points to buy a plane ticket thinking that "maybe" we will go and when we found a reasonable priced hotel we hopped on the plane. As we both had been to Paris before we aimed to spend minimum money so we strolled around most of Paris on foot. I think that I hadn't walked that much since a long time. The ache of my feet didn't go away for a long time... But to stroll around on foot is something very pleasurable... it's as if you can percieve more of everything...

During this long period I didn't have the chance to produce much. I thing I will be more productive as the winter has come. Here is something that I made during the long-long summer period.

Ve de bu cüzdanın çantası...

And a bag to go with this wallet...

Paris ten bir kaç kare...

Çatı katlarına bayıldık...

Some Paris shots...

We loved the penthouses...

Belediyenin bisikletleri... muhtelif yerlerde bisiklet park yerleri var. Anladığımız kadarıyla kartınla alıyorsun bisikleti, işin bitince bir park yerine iade ediyorsun... Çok kullanan var...

The bicycles of the municipality... there are parking spots in various places... As we understood you grab a bicycle with your credit card and park it to one of the parking places when you are done... loads of people are using them...

Bayılırım bu arabalara, buradakiler hala çalışıyor...

Love these cars, the ones here are still working...

Bu ne diyorsanız... "aşkın kilidi" olduğuna kanaat ettik... sevgililer isim yazıp kilidi takıyorlar ve anahtarı nehre atıyorlar herhalde...

If you are thinking what this is...  we figured out that it was a "Love lock"... assumption is that lovers write their names on the lock, hang it on the bridge and throw the key in the river...

Tabii yorgunluk atmak, yemek te lazım...

Of course one needs to rest and eat...

And to drink wine... (by the way in Paris wine is cheaper then other drinks)
