Mine denemeleri - Enamaling trials

Today during my enamaling course while I was cleening the copper with a machine something went into my eye. I wasn't able to open it and it turned red at once. We tried to find what and where it was with Gülnur and in the end spotted it under my eye lid... Gülnur, me and our Japaneese teacher tried our bests to get it out was couldn't succeed. Just as I decided that we will not be able to do it and I needed to go to a hospital, a new friend Şengül that I'de recently met through Gülnur, heard about this and came to my rescue. She was able to get it out with a stick wraped up with cotton, that our Japaneese teacher had invented to replace an ear cleaning bud.  It was a big piece for an eye and I was immediatly relieved when it was out. I thank everybody for their help, especially Şengül who saved my day. I don't even know how I would be able to drive myself up to a hospital with an eye closed and flowing. I found the copper cleaning part of this course to be bit hard. Actually I have a hard time each Saturday, my nose starts flowing and burning as of the copper dust. This week I'de started wearing a mask but I realized that I need to wear work glasses also. Worst case I will take my swimming glasses with me next week.... Of course because of my eye I wasn't able to complete what I'de started ., but my eye OK so it's not a big deal, I will finish it next week... Şengül, Gülnur, Matchico (I don't know how it's spelt, I made this up) I thank you very much...

Bunlarda Mine tekniklerini öğrenme denemelerim...

And these are my Enamaling techniques trials...

This isn't finished yet. I'm waiting for my red enamal powder to be able to finish it...As Enamal powders are quite expensive it is not possible to by all the colors at once so I place an order according to my needs...

I sew a bag for myself to take to my enamaling course. I bought 2 plastic boxes that are sold as slipper boxes. I have my enamals in one of them and my tools in the other. Thanks for this I got rid of small bits and pieces that I need to gather before going to my course and plus this my material can stay  neat and tidy during the course...

Life is flowing fast these days. I have loads of things that I want to do but without being able to do them I realize that a new week has already come. And on top of that I have a flu, I've been wondering around in the house with a box of tissues. I have to cleen my nose so often that I don't have energy left over to do anything else.

This winter has been my going to courses winter. First of all in October I started an Erickson Life Coaching training in Denge merkezi, finished 2 modules, have 2 to go. We have  group practices in between the modules so we meet once a week for this. Of course I need to practice more other then the meetings but now I'm feeling unhappy for not being able to go to yesterday's meeting because of my flu. I had in mind to go to this course for years now, but as I wasn't able to meet the time and cost standarts together I was continiously postponing this. This year I understood that these two would never be met, ther's no time as the most suitable time. I'm glad that I took this step. I'm learning a system that I think is very powerfull and I've met some very beautifull people and that was a bonus for me. This course is given by a lady who's a Doctor called Zerrin Başer, both her and her team is great.

The other course that I started is the Enamaling course in Ankara Olgunlaşma Institude. This course goes on for 8-9 months. I heard about this course through a friend and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that there were many good courses held in Ankara Olgunlaşma Institude (and the cost is very appealing). Our enamaling course is given together by a teacher of this school and a Japanese  Enamaling artist. Enamaling wasn't something that I knew about and liked, but I'm happy doing it. And once I had some products finished I started to like it. The one drwback of this enamaling course is that it is not possible to do some in your place as it needs high temprature ovens and of course we don't have them in our houses. So what ever you do once a week, that's it.

Bütün bu kursların haricinde kışlık telefon kılıfları yaptım, bakalım sevecekmisiniz...

Other than my courses I made these winter phone cases, lets see if you like them...

Tonight we coincidentally came across a movie on TV. "Dedemin İnsanları". I don't usualt throw everything in my hand and fully concentrate on the TV but as soon as I heard the name I was ready. Again It was marvelous and again it was Çağan Irmak... If you haven't watched it yet, I suggest you do...

The thing that is shown below is a bathroom rug that I sewed for my bathroom. Actually it is two layered, towel fabric and the tough fabric on top. I couldn't manage to buy a rug for my bathroom to go next to my sink. I didn't like anything but in the end I managed to come up with the idea to make one myself.

Yukarıdaki resimleri aydınlık olsun diye kış bahçesinde çekmiştim, aşağıdakiler ise banyodaki yerini aldıktan sonra çekilmiş resimler...

The pictures above were taken in the winter garden as it's light and airy there, the ones below are pictures taken after the rug has taken it's place in the bathroom...

Pembe ve Romatik- Pink and Romantic

This summer my nephew asked me to sew something for his fiancee(now his wife). A camera case... All summer long whenever I went down to my workshop I remembered this wish but I couldn't decide what it will look like... Recently I was trying to decide what to make and suddenly I wanted to make this case. My aim was to make a Pink and Romatic case... and the result is this. Please don't ask "You said Pink and Romantic, so what's this?", I have no answer to this... Well, to defend my self; one of the houses is pink(ish), the tree is in the shape of a heart=romantic... While sewing it, I probably was thinking this...  I don't have any deformation in my color and romaticism perception... I don't think I have... No way.... or is this posiible?... (looking at the end result) I do have... Well I'm going to sew a new one... it was far too big anyway...

You know, in the summer I made myself a name card that could be used as a bookmark... I couldn't use them at all... The ones that I dipped into my handbag were wasted in the chaos of the bag and whenever I needed one I didn't have any... So I sew myself a name card case and now they are safe in my hand bag.

I started an Emay course with the recomendation of a very close friend of mine. In order to be able to do things in this course you need copper plates besides the Emay powder. Yesterday for the intention of buying copper we were in Hamamönü, Saman pazarı, At Pazarı... all day... We had a look at nearly all the shops, sat in most of the cafe's... In the end when it started to get dark we remembered that our intention was to buy copper... As we had spent all our money we had to fish inside our hand bags to be able to find the copper money... Any way we were able to complete our mission, we could have easily returned home without any copper... I will share my Emay work soon... I have no idea how much fun I will percieve of the Emay work yet but the preperation stage (going out to buy copper) was brilliant.
I'de sewn this bag as an Ultra book bag. The hearts on the front are pockets actually...

Şemsiyeli kız - Girl with umbrella

This is another tablet case dressed with a women holding an umbrella. I found it to be very suitable with the seasonal conditions as the rains have started. When I was in Paris I didn't look at any shops as I was not in the intention of buying anything. But there was a shop that actually sucked me inside. Name is Desigual and everything inside has a hippy or bohemian style. All the products are flowery, embroidered and even most of the skirt parts were crooked... I desired to buy everything they had in the shop, I even  couldn't let go of a pair of embroidered shoes. But as the prices were high and my consciousness came back again in time I left the shop empty handed. Afterwards whenever I saw the shop I acted as if it wasn't there just in the fear of losing my consciousness back again. In that shop they had flowery and embroided raincoats and coats. Now lookiing in the photos below just reminded me of those gorgeous coats.

While I was making the closure part I found my glass beads in the house and used one of them for it. The other colored beads are products of my polimer clay work in the past. The picture of these beads look a little bit blurry, I guess because I took their picture from a very short distance.

Meleklerle yaşamak - Living with angels

Size???

I'de already told you about my love for angels in one of my earlier posts. This is the project that made me stay at home yesterday. While I was sewing a bag this came into my mind and I buckled down to work and finished these. I don't like pictures taken in the night time,  that was the reason I didn't share them yesterday... I waited for the daytime , the time when it's full of light and sunny in order to picture them. Taking a photo is such a struggle... I couldn't decide where I should locate them for the picture so I'm sharing the photos that I took in every spot that I could think of. I think that they look cute... And you???

Keçe kılıf, kalpli - Felt case, with heart

Today I had things to do outside but I didn't want to leave home so I delayed them all. Yesterday night I surfed the internet till late, I visited blogs I hadn't been able to have a look at since long... I realized that I'de missed them... Then I felt a desire to enter a competition that came up my way...  I came across the "Bumerang" competion... Actually I'de seen this one in "Turuncu oda"'s blog, even voted for her but hadn't cared about entering my self. Yesterday late at night when I went to "yazarkafe" to submit a post it caught my eye so I filled in the form and sent it. Actually I recieved an aproval for my application from another category instead of the one that I'de applied for.  "The most hard working blog". If we skip this summer I could be called hard working, don't you think so? I don't know how the system works  but despite my understanding of the explanation I see that every body can vote.... If you would like to vote you can click on the green box that is on the left side above, it will direct you to the voting page...

Let's get to what I will share with you guys today... A felt Ipad case or bag... Grey - red - white... I was so badly wanting to make something in these colors, this came up... What do you think of it?
