Herkese mutlu Pazarlar...
Today was a good day for me. The elegant owner of the blog "Zeynepin evi" arranged a meeting for the bloggers of Ankara to meet each other and when DODO the owner of "a houseful of happiness" informed me about this all I needed to do was just to go there. I thank both of them. I'm very new in this, my blog hasn't completed 6 months so I didn't know any of the blog owners in person, I actually even didn't know most of the blogs. Thank her, Zeynep had a list of all the attendees and she gave the list to each one of us. There were around 40 attendees so I couldn't look at all of them but of course eventually I will.
I'm bad at taking pictures so I have only 3 shots, I hope the other friends will give support over time... Happy Sunday to all...

Meşhur oldum - I'm famous
If you can remember sometime ago I had a post about renewing old plastik chairs... A couple of days ago I occasionally saw visitors from a source called "hürriyet aile" visiting my blog. I saw it when I clicked on the source. They've used my post. Looook, I'm famous... The sentence below attracted my attention. "legal procedures will be applied upon unauthorized use of this news", it said. This warning really attracted my attention as they didn't ask any permission and yet more I had no idea that they had done so. It's not that I am objecting to this, I even liked it to tell you the truth, but when I look at the page it feels weird.

Bugün böyle - Today it's this
Snoopy yi bilmeyen yoktur herhalde.
I don't think there would be anyone not familiar with Snoopy. Could there we a character this cute? Today although I wasn't this cute I was this lazy... the homes below reflect my lazy, calm mood for today. I love all of them actually but I would love to live in some of them on the top of the water... such as in Amsterdam... the last two pictures is a "narrow boat" and it's inside view that you can see in the British canals. (It's 120.00 pounds so if you want to buy it you can calculate it in Lira) These boats proceed in the canals in an incredibly slow speed as if in slow motion. I say that, if you go to UK you should go to a canal to see all these...

İlk dikiş deneyimi - My first sewing experience
When my son was 1-2 years old I started a patchwork course because a friend insisted. This was something very extraordinary for me, as except from the bag, shoes and trousers that I had sewn when I was 10 years old (look at the things that I'de sewn, should this be the first things a person has sewed in her life?) I can say that I didn't even know how to thread a needle. We were going to this course every Saturday morning and we were having some homework that we needed to complete during the week. Of course because I was slow in the course I had a little more that needed to be done... At night as soon as my son went to sleep I would take out my supplies and try to complete my duties. I didn't dare to take them out when my son was awake because of the pins and this meant that I would start at 10pm and stop around 1 am. (my husband sometimes helped my in the ironing) I had to catch the bus at around 7 in the morning so as to be at work in time. Me doing patchwork meant that I would be sleepless and exhausted... I could partially finish most of the things I made in this course but this cushion was the one and only big thing that I completed entirely.

Zamazingolu Çanta - Bag with thingies
I don't know were the concept of "thingy" came to my mind after many years... We had a weird ornament thet we had to wear with our school uniform in my primary school. Every body was calling it "thingy", if it ever was called something else, thingy is the word still in my mind. Years later when my son started the same school I told him that we called it "thingy", he laughed a lot. Though I asked him what they were calling it I don't remember his answer as many years have went by and this thing is certainly a thingy for me... The additions that I made for this bag gave me the same sense...
I was so excited if this kind of a gathered strap was possible on a bag that I didn't make any details inside (zippered or unzippered section). When that was the case I made something with a zipper to go inside and called it thingy1... then I couldn't stop myself... I was seeing it in other blogs and was envying to do this flowery thing that was choked with strings, so I did one, and there was thingy2...
Zamazingo1 işlevli, zamazingo2 işlevsiz...yada süsleme işlevi var...
Thingy1 has a purpose, thingy2 no purpose... or it has a decoration purpose...

What do you say to these? I love caravans. When my family was living in England they'de bought one. Of course it wasn't fancy like these ones. The year I graduated from university we went out for a trip through UK for 15 days. It was great fun, the only problem we had was the absense of a wc unit (we had the cabin but because the system was very old my dad hadn't connected the wc unit) As when we went to caravan sites we prefered to park in places away from the WC so if any one of us would wake up in the night having a need for the toilet that person would have to wake the rest of the family and we would go together as if in a ceremony. Actually the ceremony wasn't at all pleasurable in the middle of the night...

My neighbour is a doctor working in a health unit. Last week one evening she came back from work with a very upset face. Her money had dissapeared from her wallet. Actually this had happened before but she'de thought maybe she'de dropped it somewhere and wasn't sure what had happened. The amount of the money was little so she didn't put any thoughts on this. In spite of this, just to be on the safe side she started locking her room door. But for the second time when a big amount of money again dissapeared from her wallet that was in a locked room then she felt very bad... Can you imagine what a terrible feeling it is? The terrible thing is seeing people as suspects and at the same time feeling bad about suspecting people who may in fact be innocent and not being able to control this confusion... In the past it happened to me also so I know how the person struggles with herself trying not to be unfair. Believe me ,this is a very killing period. Anyway, when I heard this story I decided to make her a small and light bag that she can carry around with her at all times and that would take all her valuable things...Though as soon as I told this story to him my very clever husband told me about practical ways to set up a camera whilst looking at the bag... Let it be, she can use her bag and setup the camera system...It's not bad when something is oversafe.

In the end I managed to do it. A TUTORIAL on how the make this bag...
Güneşin girmesine izin ver - Let the sunshine in
Belki dün yazdığım "izin günüm" yazımda gördünüz, belki de görmediniz, yinede kendisini paylaşıyorum... Oldu yapalı bayağı epey bir süre... Severim parlak renkli her şeyi ya... İçimde bir hippi var ya....
Maybe you saw this in my "day off" post from yesterday or maybe not, anyway I'm sharing... It has been a while since I made it... You know I love things shiny and colourful... You know I have a hippi inside...
And this is a shot, about it's look through the mirror (you would have understood I know but I still wanted to state it)

Bugün izin günüm - It's my day of
The thing above actually is a fridge notebook (it has a magnet behind it). Years ago I saw it in a stationary shop in England and laughed a lot on the script. So I bought it. Now, if you want to know what does this have to do with anything I will write about today, you will shortly understand...
Today the "summer caller" did it's work and because there was no weather disaster and we could go to that friends house for breakfast. After many days, the weather was sunny (of course it was because of the summer caller I made). I went there at around 10:30 and the time was around 18:15 when I came back home from breakfast. My watch had stoped, I thought it was 17:00 when I decided to leave. Well, it wasn't... Of course as the time period was that long, our breakfast concept turned out to be something that included breakfast, afternoon tea with a very delicious desert that my friend had made and a "happy hour" at the end. We talked, laughed, had fun a lot... Everything was delightful, our friend Aylin (our homeowner) had prepared gorgeous things. Aylin immediately hung her "summer caller" on her door that opened to her garden, it looked very nice. She couldn't find any nails for this so she convinced a bunch of pins that they are a nail and hammered these, I admired the practicality of this idea...
I came back home, parked my car and saw the desperate housewifes of our neighbourhood were together, I instantly joined them. Then one friend brought tea and some snacks from her house. Nilgün had a look at the snacks and said why do we eat these with tea, there should be some beer to go with it so we switched our tea with beer. We enjoyed being able to sit outside untill it was dark while toasting our beers and teas.
Today I didn't make anything but I want to share something that I made as a trial one night last week while I was watching TV
Yes you saw it right, I must have gone crazy but I knitted my mobiles headphones. It would be better if I had knitted it more beautifully but still I'm glad of the outcome as it doesn't tangle any more... it's easy to find inside the bag... it's colourful... It was crazy but worth it.

Tomorrow we will meet in one of our friends house from high school (even secondary and primary school) for breakfast. We intended to do this before in March but if you can remember (or if you can't remember you can look from here) there was such a great amount of snow that I was unable to find my car under it. It was cancelled as no one could get there... Here I made this dangle for that friends garden. I loved it too much, I think I will make one for myself also.

Do you know that there is something called a "dream catcher". I don't know its origin, my mum had brought one for me from Malta years ago. This is something like a spider web and it has feathers, beads on it. These are called "dream catcher"s... You would hang it in your bedroom and it would catch your bad dreams and protect you. At least this is what Maltese people told mum and I didn't check this info as I loved this explanation...

The "dream catchers" made me think of the "summer caller" concept that I've used in the header. It has fish, hearts, glass evil eye beads (meaning may be, let the summer come and let it not be affected by the evil eye for example - whatever, my friend will generate her own meaning)
Bunlar da o meşhur vazomdan kırpıklar, güzel olmamışlar mı böyle?
And these are pieces from my famous vase, don't they look good here?
