Öncesi/sonrası Plastik sandalye - Before/after Plastic chair

Bugün sizinle paylaşacağım konu bir "olmaz dediler oldu" konusu... Terasta duran ve kışın karı, yağmuru ve soğuğu yazın ise sıcağı ve güneşi, neredeyse 10 sene boyunca yiyen ama zamanında çok para vererek alınmış, hakikaten kalitesi yüksek (daha önce bu koşullara dayanamamış plastik sandalyelerimiz olduğu için böyle dedim) bir zamanlar yeşil olan ama zaman içerisinde kararıp, solan plastik sandalyelerimiz vardı.

The subject I'm going to share with you is a "they said it's not possible but it was" subject... I had plastic chairs in my terrace that were under the snow and rain during winter time, hot and sun during the summer time for almost 10 years. At the time, I had bought them at an relatively expensive price and they have a really good quality (I'm saying this because I had plastic chairs before that couldn't survive under these circumstances). Once they were green but they darkened and got pale in time. 

Bu konudaki "olmaz dediler oldu" kısmını ben aslında bundan yıllar önce (tam hatırlamıyorum ama 8-10sene olmuştur) tecrübe etmiştim. O zamanlar  yukarıda yazmış olduğum kötü koşullardan dolayı perişan olmuş bir plastik masa vardı bahçede. Kötü ve kalitesi düşük bir masaydı zaten ama yinede ben ona bir şans daha vermek isteyerek (birazda olurmu ki? merakı var tabii) önüme çıkan tüm boyacı, boya malzemecisi v.s. ye sordum. "Plastik nasıl boyanır?" Onlar dedi "Olmazz"... Ben dedim "Nedennn?"... onlar dedi "plastik boya tutmaz"..."Deneyeniniz varmı?"..."Yok, çünkü biliriz ki olmaz"... Ben dedim "denemeliyim"... Başladım masayı boyamaya, birde nasıl ve nereden kaynaklı bir güven varsa içimde olacağına dair afili boyuyorum, uğraşıyorum anlayacağınız. O dönem takmışım peçetelere , özellikle kazlı peçeteme, yine aynı cesaret, masanın muhtelif yerlerine birde güzel peçete transferi yaptım. Biz masayı yıllarca kullandık, birkaç kış boyu bahçede karın altında kalmasına rağmen boyaya hiçbir şey olmadı ama bir kaç sene sonra üzerine yapıştırdığım peçeteler kabarmaya başladı, sonunda çok korkunç bir görüntüye bürününce de bende attım.

The "they said it was not possible but it was" part was actually experienced by me years ago (I don't remember the exact date but it must have been 8-10 years). At that time I had a plastic table in the garden that had gone under the conditions that I've mentioned in the paragraph above. Although it was a poor quality table I still wanted to give it a second chance so I asked "How can I paint plastik?", they said "you can't"... I asked "why?"... they answered "plastic will not bond with paint"... "Has anyone tried?"... "No, because we all know that it won't happen"... to all the painters, paint suppliers so I said "I have to try... I started painting the table. I don't know why and how I had the confidence that it will work but I started painting it in a fancy mode. At that period I was obsessed about napkin tranfer so with the same confidence I started sticking napkins on top. We used the table for years. After staying in the garden for many years nothing happened to the paint but the napkins that I had put on top started to bloat and peel of. In the end when it reached a very horrible state I dumped it.

Dolayısıyla yıllar öncesinin tecrübesiyle ben yapısal olarak sapasağlam olan, sadece görüntüsü yıpranmış sandalyelerimi boyamaya karar verdim. Sandalyelerim böyleydi...

So I decided to paint my chairs that were durable in structure but had worn off in appeareance, with the experience that I had obtained years ago. My chairs were like this...

Böyle oldu...
Turned into this...
