When my son was 1-2 years old I started a patchwork course because a friend insisted. This was something very extraordinary for me, as except from the bag, shoes and trousers that I had sewn when I was 10 years old (look at the things that I'de sewn, should this be the first things a person has sewed in her life?) I can say that I didn't even know how to thread a needle. We were going to this course every Saturday morning and we were having some homework that we needed to complete during the week. Of course because I was slow in the course I had a little more that needed to be done... At night as soon as my son went to sleep I would take out my supplies and try to complete my duties. I didn't dare to take them out when my son was awake because of the pins and this meant that I would start at 10pm and stop around 1 am. (my husband sometimes helped my in the ironing) I had to catch the bus at around 7 in the morning so as to be at work in time. Me doing patchwork meant that I would be sleepless and exhausted... I could partially finish most of the things I made in this course but this cushion was the one and only big thing that I completed entirely.

İlk dikiş deneyimi - My first sewing experience
